The insurance side is the part that matters most on a storm job. A storm job is really two jobs. There's the roof, and there's the paperwork that goes to your insurance company. We do both, with the same people on each. When the scope comes back short, we go back and explain what got missed.
Not every roof is a claim, and we work the same way when there isn't one. It's why we write and argue the roofing estimate ourselves rather than handing it off.

A certificate doesn't tell you what happens once we're on your roof. There's about twenty years of roofing behind the work here, and that's the part that changes the answer you get. Twenty years is how we tell fresh hail from a hit five summers old. We find the one soft section of decking before the shingles come off. It's also how we read an insurance scope and see what's missing before the adjuster packs up.
That experience matters before we quote a price. A free roof inspection is worth having even when nothing looks wrong from the ground. Most of what fails up there can't be seen from a driveway. We diagnose storm and hail damage rather than assuming it, which is the difference between a repair that holds and a replacement nobody needed. On a claim, the same experience is what catches whatever the scope left out.

We come out and get on the roof. We look over the rest of the outside while we're there, and it costs you nothing.

You see photographs of what's actually up there. Then we tell you plainly what we found, in words you can repeat to somebody else.

We write the estimate ourselves. That includes the insurance version when there’s a claim behind the job.

Our crews do the roof. We protect the drive and the landscaping, and we sweep the yard for nails before anybody leaves.

Roofing Across the Greater Denver Area
Colorado Hail and Wind Damage
Roofs here get tested twice a year, in two different ways, and most people only know about one of them.
Hail is the season everybody knows about, and May and June are the worst of it. Wind is the one that gets missed. It peaks in the cold months rather than the summer, and it rarely lifts a single shingle. It takes a whole row at once, usually along an edge or a ridge, which is why a wind-damaged roof still looks fine from the street.
So what we look for depends on when the storm came through. Hail and wind leave different marks, and telling them apart is most of what an inspection is actually for.
The same storm that bruises a roof also dents the car, tears the screens and chips the paint. Those are at eye level, so those are the ones that get noticed. The roof takes the worst of it and is the hardest place to see it, so we get on it and photograph what's there. Then you're deciding what to do while looking at pictures of your own roof, rather than taking anyone's word for what's up there.

What kind of roofing work does Semper Fi Roofing do?
Residential roofing is most of it. That covers roof replacement, roof repair, storm and hail damage, emergency repairs and inspections. On a house that usually means shingles, and the work runs from one cracked vent collar to a full tear-off. Commercial roofing is a separate side of what we do. A flat or low-slope roof is a different job from a pitched one. We handle gutters, siding, windows and exterior painting too, usually as part of the same storm.
Are roof inspections really free?
Yes. The inspection is free, and the goal is to help you understand what is going on with your roof and what your options are. If you are paying for the work directly, we can put together an estimate. If storm damage leads to an insurance claim, we stay involved through the process, explain what comes next, and keep communication clear from the inspection through the completed work.
What areas do you cover?
Colorado and Wyoming. Most of our work sits in the Denver metro, running from the north metro down through the south metro. Aurora and Denver are the two busiest. Cheyenne is the Wyoming city we work in most. Wyoming has its own rules for roofing contracts, and we follow those there rather than Colorado's. There are smaller towns either side of that map, and we get called out to plenty of them.
Do you do commercial roofs as well as houses?
Yes, and they're not the same job. A commercial roof is usually flat or low-slope, which means membranes, seams and drains rather than shingles and valleys. The scheduling is different too, because the building normally has to keep running while the work happens. We can also put commercial roofs on spring and fall damage reports, so we find problems before they turn into leaks.
Who actually comes to my house?
Everyone we send into your home has been background checked. That's a standing policy on every job, not something arranged for the big ones. Hiring a roofing contractor means letting people you don't know onto your property. After a hailstorm the doorbell starts going, and the people on your step are strangers with clipboards. You can't tell who any of them are. We also carry general liability and workers compensation insurance, which most homeowners assume and almost nobody asks about.
Do you handle roofing insurance claims?
Yes, and we do it in house. We write the estimate in the format your insurance company reads, and the people who write it were on your roof. When the scope comes back short, we go back and explain what's missing. We hand nothing about your claim to a third party who never saw the house. What your insurer decides is still their call, but the roof gets documented properly either way.
What if something happens to my roof outside your normal hours?
Call anyway. We take the call, and for a genuine emergency we come out. Our first job is working out how bad it actually is. A lifted ridge and water coming through a ceiling are different problems. Normal hours are nine to five, seven days a week. We're not a call center, and this isn't a 24 hour operation.
What if there's no claim and I can't pay for a roof up front?
We offer financing through Hearth. Plenty of roofing work has no storm behind it, and that's the route for those jobs. A worn out roof still needs replacing whether or not there's a claim behind it. Ask about financing when you get in touch and we'll walk you through how it works.
Do you have anyone who speaks Spanish?
Some of our salespeople do. Say so when you get in touch and we'll try to line one of them up for your visit. It's availability rather than a guarantee, so it helps to ask early.
